The Circle of the Whispering Earth follows a Celtic/Druid path and applies this path to Shamanism of place - being conscious and connected to the land on which one lives. This is done by applying the Celtic Wheel of the year to our lives and honouring how it turns within us. We study the myths of the Ancestors and take what teachings are given, applying them to our current lives. We journey and hear the voice of the land we walk upon and the animals and plants upon it and join this with what ancient knowledge we carry inside to complete the circle within.
The first year of training follows a 3 Cycle process: Planting, Taking root and Growth. You are introduced to Shamanic concepts, some of the tools and healing methods and the Gods/Goddesses and legends of the Celtic people. You are encouraged through your homework assignments to come into your own relationship with Spirit and to establish ways of expressing shamanic faith as you are called. You graduate from Year One with a Certificate of Shamanic Practitioner. You will have undergone deep personal and healing work, preparing you for the role as one who is ready to be the bridge to Spirit World for others.
You may then choose to deepen your practice by taking the second year of training which focuses on deepening and strengthening your roots in Shamanic faith and practice. In year two of the training experience sitting in sacred ceremony regularly, completing a vision quest (a weekend gathering, only for those healthy enough to participate, additional cost will apply) and learning indepth Shamanic healing methods, intensifying these to be in service to others. You will practice those methods learned in Year One, strengthening your abilities and confidence. Graduating from the second year earns you the title of Shamanic Healer. You will have built strong connections to the land, to the Otherworlds, to those who dwell in Spirit world and will be prepared to offer your services as a Healer.
Each month a Celtic deity is focused on and journeyed to in order that we may ground and connect to those Great Beings that live in the mystery.

In this phase of the training we focus on tilling the soil, so to speak. We do this by ensuring you are healthy and strong - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Strength is NOT defined by reaching some standard but by knowing how both Light and Shadow work within you - you are strongest knowing where your weakest point is. As a Shamanic Practitioner, it is crucial that you hold sacred space for clients free from your own triggers and/or agenda. Only through self-examination can we confidently claim this ability. Shamanism as a faith: daily commitments to honour Earth (prayer, rituals)
TAKING ROOT
In this phase of the training you learn the skills and healing techniques traditionally utilized by Shamans to bring health and wholeness to those they were in service to. These include: Soul Retrieval, Extraction, Cutting Chords of Attachment, Energy Healing, Guided Visualization, Power Animal Retrieval and others. Shamanism as a faith: being in service
GROWTH
In this final phase of the first year of training you learn to facilitate healing through ritual, holding sacred space, counseling and listening techniques and practice, along with listening to the Earth and incorporating Her voice into practice. Other areas of study and experience: Dreamwork and healing, Psychopomp, Mythmaking, Healing through the Celtic Medicine wheel, Leadership - being responsible for ourselves, teaching and speaking, Peacemaking, Inner Child, Death Rites, The Fire, the Well and the Sacred Tree - the oneness of Celtic Shamanism, In-depth study of significant Celtic Legends, Myths and Heros, Shamanic Trance through dance, drumming and chant
